I have used them once indoors and they did a great job of muffling the noise.

1 Shoelace and earplugs anyone?

This is literally shoelace attached to earplugs with a hole on each end. I was disappointed because the earplugs could be easily taken out. What’s the point of having them attached to the string anyway? The earplugs are also not comfortable to sleep with.

5 Perfect for a Reader in a Noisy Environment

I like to read books on my breaks at work, but the sounds of the piped in music, co-workers chatting, freezer alarms, etc. are very distracting. These work perfect for this. They don't block out ALL sound, but they do mute them enough to put them firmly in the far background. I like the cord because I can wear them like a necklace tucking them into my shirt at the ready.

5 Good, as expected

We use these for ear protection while drumming. Scottish snare drums give high pitched, piercing sounds. These ear plugs are not custom or the best ear plugs you can get, but they are a great deal for the money and do work well.

So the stiff piece that holds the string is too long and stiff too allow comfortable rest without pushing it too far into ear. Plus movement on string is amplified into plugs. Not good for sleeping.

I ordered these to be used at the range and they did pretty good job. They set snugged in the ear and block any kind of excess noise. Good for motorcycle riding too. Satisfied with the purchase and highly recommended.

I can't sleep well as any noise wakes me up & I have a hard time getting back to sleep. I use these ear plugs & I sleep very well now.
